About us
The Center of Evangelical and Reformation Theology has been set up in 2003 with the aim to provide a forum and the facilities for people to study evangelical theology.
The word evangelical refers to the meaning this word has in the English speaking world. This includes the theology of churches which find their roots in the 16th century Reformation.
Within CERT people from the main Protestant Church in The Netherlands (PKN), other smaller denominations and independent evangelical and baptist churches work together.
CERT offers a one-year fulltime, or two-year parttime master course in evangelical Theology under the auspices of the VU University Amsterdam as well as opportunities for research master and PhD studies.
Director of CERT is Dr Kees van der Kooi, professor of Systematic Theology. Dr Eveline van Staalduine is the study coordinator
